Videogames for everyone
Spring 2019
Videogames for everyone is a project designed around helping women with Down syndrome to play videogames, adapting them to their needs.
A team of eleven students, in which I include myself, all of them being part of the 2nd year of the Creación y Narración de Videojuegos Grade have made this project possible alongside a teacher of the course (Daniel de la Rosa), workers of Fundación Alas Madrid (Araceli Nadador) and the help of Universidad Francisco de Vitoria.
This project has involved remaking several classic video games for these women to play and experience.
This project has also involved developing some new experiences adjusted to their needs using different tools such as buzzer quiz buttons.
Videogames for everyone has also had the help and collaboration of Xbox Spain, which provided us with an Xbox Adaptive Controller to work with and has featured us in their presentation for said controller.
All of this work has been achieved thanks to the help of the leader of our team and this project in particular, María Ranera, and some of my colleagues:
Raimundo Araujo, Alejandro Batuecas, Iñigo Escandón, Gonzalo Hernández, Iñigo Hidalgo, Pablo Mata, Clara Nicolás, Ignacio Piñas, María Ranera y Adrián Rivas.
